KARIN A. LORENTO- (MSc, DOMP) MANUAL OSTEOPATHIC PRACTITIONER
Karin A. Lorento had a long journey on her way to becoming a Manual Osteopath: she brings to the table a unique blend of national strength and conditioning, applied kinesiology, and osteopathic sciences, giving her a broad-spectrum view on movement and human physiology. Karin graduated university the first time around with a double major in social sciences from the University of Guelph in 2004 leading to a career in social work. It was years later during the pursuit of personal passions that Karin’s career took a hard-right turn towards health sciences, directing her into personal training and leading her to continue her education in applied kinesiology. Karin obtained her professional certification in Human Performance Development in 2011 from Sheridan College, and at the encouragement of her mentor, was accepted into a pilot MSc program at A. T. Still University of Osteopathic Sciences in Arizona which she completed with a specialization in clinical psychology in 2014. HILLARY NIEMAN- (M.OMSC, BA KIN) MANUAL OSTEOPATHIC PRACTITIONER

After completing her Kinesiology degree at Western University in 2015, Hillary gained experience in multiple fields such as long term care, chronic pain, and traumatic brain injury. Choosing to pursue osteopathic education in 2018, she has seen first-hand the positive impact osteopathic manual therapy can have on her patient’s health. She believes that the body is a resilient dynamic unit of function, and strives to ensure every part is able to function harmoniously. Hillary is invested in providing comfort and relief to her patients in a relaxed setting. It is her goal to improve the quality of life of each and every patient.
Her treatment is gentle, non-invasive, and hands-on focusing on re-aligning the body and restoring movement. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is able to assess asymmetry within the anatomy of each individual patient, and apply a variety of techniques to treat the fascia, muscles, and ligamentous tissue. When the anatomy is unrestricted and each joint is moving properly, there is no excessive strain or load placed on one area of the body.
